A Java Nodejs Developer is a software engineer skilled in both Java and Node.js technologies. They are responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications using Java, a robust object-oriented language, and Node.js, a runtime environment for executing JavaScript on the server side. These developers often work on building scalable backend systems, integrating APIs, and ensuring smooth communication between different parts of a software solution. Their versatility allows them to handle a range of tasks across both Java-based and JavaScript-based platforms.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Java Nodejs developer?

To thrive as a Java Nodejs Developer, you need strong programming skills in Java and JavaScript (Node.js), a solid understanding of backend frameworks, and experience with RESTful APIs, typically supported by a relevant degree or coding bootcamp. Familiarity with version control systems like Git, build tools, containerization (Docker), and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is often required. Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills help developers collaborate effectively and adapt to changing project requirements. These skills ensure the delivery of robust, scalable solutions and foster efficient development within dynamic technical teams.

How do Java Nodejs developers typically collaborate with front-end teams in a full-stack development environment?

Java Nodejs Developers often work closely with front-end teams to ensure seamless integration between back-end services and user-facing applications. This collaboration usually involves regular meetings to discuss API requirements, troubleshoot integration issues, and align on project timelines. Developers may also participate in code reviews and joint debugging sessions to resolve cross-functional challenges quickly. Effective communication and a solid understanding of both server-side and client-side technologies are key to successful collaboration in these environments.

  • Integration & Onboarding Orchestration: Lead the technical validation and end-to-end verification of customer and vendor onboarding pipelines, ensuring absolute reliability and zero-fault data flow across integrated applications.
  • Workflow & Release Management: Manage deep system configurations, handling structured workflows for API subscription lifecycles, access provisioning, and coordinated software release management across multiple runtime environments.
  • DevSecOps & CI/CD Pipeline Management: Establish and optimize continuous delivery pipelines utilizing Jenkins, ensuring that strict code-coverage and automated quality gates are met via Sonar metrics before pushing changes to GitHub.
  • Observability & Troubleshooting: Perform advanced debugging and root-cause analysis on highly complex system environments. Leverage logs and application performance metrics in Splunk and Datadog to proactively diagnose and resolve errors.
  • Comprehensive Quality Assurance (QA): Collaborate closely with independent engineering squads to validate third-party integrations. Create detailed functional test matrices, automate critical path regression test scenarios, and manage structural defect tracking to guarantee absolute production readiness.
Required Technical Skills & Competencies
  • Proficient in REST API development with Node.js, with recent experience in the last 1-2 years. Experience with NestJS is a plus.
  • 5-7 years of Typescript experience, Github, Sonar, Jenkins, Datadog, Splunk
  • Front-end experience with JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, etc.) with recent experience in the last 1-2 years. Angular is a plus.
  • Experience working with AI for day to day development, copilot is a plus, and agentic AI is a plus.
  • Proficient in coding, unit test, QA automation, CI/CD

  • Ability to translate high-level, complex client configuration and onboarding requirements into actionable, structured test verification matrices.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate directly with engineering teams to ensure unified integration readiness.
  • A self-starting mentality, highly comfortable navigating ambiguous systemic conditions in high-throughput data environments.
