Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Senior Software Architect to lead the architecture, design, and engineering of large-scale banking applications. This role requires a strong history of Java application development, deep expertise in distributed and web-based systems, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into secure, scalable, and resilient technology solutions.

The ideal candidate will have progressed from a hands-on Java developer into an architecture leadership role while continuing to remain technically engaged. The architect will lead the design of cross-functional, multi-platform application ecosystems and define application components, integration patterns, platforms, interfaces, engineering standards, and development tools.

Candidates should bring prior experience working in a technology consulting organization such as Incedo or a similar engineering-led consultancy, with demonstrated success delivering enterprise solutions for banking or financial-services clients.

Required Qualifications

  • 14 to 18 years of overall software engineering and architecture experience.
  • Strong and demonstrable history of hands-on Java development. This is a mandatory requirement.
  • Experience progressing from Java developer or technical lead into application, solution, or software architecture roles.
