Senior Machine Learning Developer 

We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Senior Machine Learning Developer to design and deliver intelligent, distributed systems that power large-scale AI and large language model (LLM) capabilities. In this role, you will shape cutting-edge infrastructure, mentor world-class engineers, and bring bold ideas from concept to production-driving meaningful impact across SAP's global ecosystem.

Description

As a key member of our fast-moving team, you will have the unique opportunity to define and execute the vision for AI and LLMbased systems at scale. We are looking for someone with exceptional programming expertise, deep distributed systems knowledge, and the curiosity and grit to tackle complex, ambiguous challenges. You will work across a diverse technology stack, collaborate closely with engineers and product leaders, and help set the technical direction for AI initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement production systems in Go, Java, and Python (fullstack experience a plus).
• Build and optimize backend services, databases, APIs, and LLM infrastructure.
• Leverage technologies such as Kafka, Postgres, HANA, gRPC, and advanced LLM frameworks.
• Mentor and guide engineers from junior to senior levels, fostering technical excellence.
• Partner with crossfunctional teams to translate business goals into scalable, highimpact solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related field, with strong programming expertise.

• Hands-on experience with AI/ML and/or LLM systems in a production environment.
• Expertise in distributed systems design and implementation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices.

Principales responsabilites

• Concoit et met en uvre des systemes de production dans Go, Java et Python (une experience full-stack est un atout).
• Developpe et optimise les services backend, les bases de donnees, les API et l'infrastructure LLM.
• Exploite des technologies telles que Kafka, Postgres, HANA, gRPC et les cadres LLM avances.
• Conseille et oriente les ingenieurs debutants et experimentes pour les aider a atteindre l'excellence technique.

Qualifications minimales

• Baccalaureat en informatique, mathematiques, physique ou dans un domaine connexe, avec une solide expertise en programmation.
• Plus de 6 ans d'experience en genie logiciel, avec une experience averee dans la mise en uvre de systemes complexes.
• Capacite averee a travailler de facon autonome et a mener a bien des projets, de la conception au deploiement.
• Experience pratique des systemes d'IA/ML et/ou LLM dans un environnement de production.
• Expertise dans la conception et la mise en uvre de systemes distribues.
• Bonne connaissance des pipelines d'integration et de livraison continues (CI/CD) et des pratiques de developpement modernes.
• Excellente aptitude a communiquer en anglais et capacite a integrer une equipe internationale et multiculturelle.

Qualifications souhaitees

• Contribution a des projets open source ou realisation de projets techniques personnels significatifs.
• Experience dans l'integration de fonctionnalites d'IA a des produits d'entreprise a grande echelle.
• Solides competences en matiere de resolution de problemes et approche iterative axee sur les resultats.
