Your role and responsibilities

As a Developer at IBM, you'll help build the technologies powering the quantum revolution and the next generation of AI. Join a team of innovators who turn bold ideas into real-world solutions through creativity, curiosity, and continuous learning, delivering impact on some of the industry's most trusted platforms.

In this role, you'll work across client-server architectures, networking, application development, and databases to design and deploy Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions. We're seeking motivated developers who can create clean, well-documented, and intuitive APIs that enable customers and teams to build with confidence.

You'll also design and develop scalable server applications, firmware, and databases, while helping build large-scale systems that support continuous delivery across cloud and on-premises environments. Depending on the role, responsibilities may include:

1) Participating in Agile development cycles, including design, coding, testing, and support 2) Transforming wireframes into intuitive, functional user experiences 3) Applying software engineering and testing best practices to deliver high-quality solutions 4) Leveraging AI-powered tools to enhance development efficiency and productivity 5) Integrating AI capabilities to make our platform solutions easier to deploy, use, and scale

The ideal candidate will also have experience with or a working knowledge of:

1) Cloud development (pushing code through a CD pipeline) 2) Generative AI practical application in development environment to include prompt engineering 3) One or more of the following technologies: C++, C, Java, Golang, Ruby, Python, Perl, SQL 4) Virtualization concepts and cloud operations 5) Working knowledge of one or more major DataBases: MongoDB, MySQL, Postgres
