Job description

Job Summary:
Qualcomm is looking for a hands-on Senior Software Engineer for their Enterprise AI Platform and Solutions team. The role focuses on the design, development, and delivery of next-generation AI-powered developer tools and platform capabilities that enhance productivity and user experience across enterprise applications.
Responsibilities:
• Build and enhance end-to-end AI-powered applications, including frontend developer tools (e.g., VS Code plugins) and backend services.
• Develop and integrate LLM-powered features into enterprise applications, improving user productivity and experience through intelligent workflows and contextual assistance.
• Contribute to enterprise-scale search, retrieval, and indexing systems, enabling efficient processing and understanding of codebases and knowledge assets.
• Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and integration layers to expose AI/ML capabilities across applications and developer tools.
• Rapidly iterate on UI/UX features based on real-world usage, feedback, and evolving product requirements to deliver intuitive and high-quality user experiences.
• Debug and resolve issues across application layers, including frontend, backend, and AI/LLM-driven components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (platform, infrastructure, and product) to deliver scalable, production-ready AI solutions.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
Preferred:
• Strong programming skills in C#.NET, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, Angular, Node.js, HTML, and CSS
• Experience building full-stack applications (UI + backend services + APIs)
• Proven ability to build clean, intuitive, and performant user interfaces
• Hands-on experience developing or integrating LLM-based / AI-powered applications
• Familiarity with agentic workflows or orchestration frameworks
• Ability to take high-level direction and independently drive end-to-end implementation
• Strong understanding of API design, state management, and UI/backend integration
• Experience debugging across both traditional systems and AI/LLM-driven behavior
