Description
The Sterling OMS Developer participates in projects and the overall design, implementation, and support of the Order Management System at TBC. The Sterling OMS Developer will design, develop, maintain, and extend applications based on the IBM Sterling OMS capabilities (Distributed Order Management, Selling and Fulfillment, Global Inventory Visibility, Reverse Logistics, Supply Collaboration) in accordance with the TBC development and project management methodologies and practices.
Responsibilities
• Provide support and troubleshooting for the OMS System (orders, inventory, etc.), customer integrations, and alert management
• Design and implement Sterling OMS solutions into the existing environments and document workflows, based on business needs
• Participate in design and code reviews using best practices and coding standards
• Lead and participate in the configuration and performance tuning of the OMS environment
• Support a wide range of technology projects: including configurations, software development, installation of patches and upgrades, etc.
• Maintain master configuration data, CDT processes, and source code management
• Partner with various technical teams (middleware, database, infrastructure, etc.) on projects and to troubleshoot issues.
• Execute production deployments and support testing and change management
• Provide technical expertise to ensure processes, procedures, and standards are followed
• Document standard operating procedures, best practices and technical documentation
• May be required to perform other duties as needed
Must Have Experience
• Deep understanding of Sterling OMS functions - Sourcing/Scheduling, Inventory, SDF, and Custom APIs
• Sterling build and deployment process
• Hands on coding using Java
Qualifications
• 5 years of experience designing and implementing Sterling OMS solutions into existing environments
• 3 years of experience developing web applications using enterprise Java technologies
• 3 years of experience working on complex projects
• Development experience with IBM Sterling OMS version 9x or 10x and IBM Call Center
• Hands on Java and OMS Development experience and familiarity with SOA, XML, REST, JSON
• Proficient with development tools such as Eclipse IDE, SoapUI
• Strong skills in Java, XML, XSL, HTML, JavaScript, and relational database technologies
• Solid implementation experience of the IBM Sterling Order Management solution
• Ability to collaborate with teams to develop solution and functional design documents
• Experience extending product and develop interfaces to integrate with other enterprise systems
• Experience with source code management systems
• Experience in Middleware technologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
