About the role
As a Senior Java Full Stack Developer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and delivering scalable cloud-native applications that support critical business solutions. You will be a valued member of the engineering team and work collaboratively with architects, developers, product owners, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
In this role, you will:
  • Possess knowledge of Generative AI (GenAI), Agentic AI, and Prompt Engineering concepts.
  • Work on coding and development activities for FDPOS projects assigned by management.
  • Participate in project calls and meetings as needed that have an impact on FDPOS.
  • Utilize Java development expertise, including J2EE and Spring Boot, while supporting FDPOS projects.
  • Provide Angular development and REST/SOAP API development support for FDPOS applications.
  • Perform Oracle Database SQL development and work with XML and JSON technologies for FDPOS-related solutions.
  • Provide detailed reporting and project documentation using JIRA and Confluence.
  • Perform scripting in Unix/Linux operating systems to support file loading, archiving, and file transfer processes related to FDPOS functionality.

Work model

Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring up to 3 days per week in a client or Cognizant office in Alpharetta, GA. What you need to have to be considered
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of relevant IT experience.
  • 5-8 years of Java development experience with J2EE and Spring Boot.
  • 5-8 years of experience working with XML and JSON technologies.
  • 4+ years of Angular development experience.
  • 5-8 years of experience developing REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Experience with reporting and documentation using JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
  • Experience with Oracle Database SQL development.
  • Knowledge of Generative AI (GenAI), Agentic AI, and Prompt Engineering.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $68,422 to $112,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
