For this position, we are seeking a talented individual to join AIS as a Senior Software Engineer. * Core Knowledge & Skills: Works across multiple languages and platforms, designs and implements architectural decisions, applies design patterns, cloud-native services, IAAS/PAAS/SAAS basics, and secure coding practices (e.g., OWASP Top 10).

As your initial project assignment, you will support the unique needs of our client as a Sr. Full Stack Developer. Project Summary The Senior Full Stack Developer will design, build, and maintain modern software solutions supporting mission-critical law enforcement systems. This role works closely with cross-functional Agile teams and stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing applications in a cloud-based environment. Key Responsibilities * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features and enhancements in two-week Agile sprints
* Gather requirements, design, develop, test, and deploy application components
* Build scalable, high-performance, and highly available front-end and back-end services
* Develop and support microservices using REST and GraphQL
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and application issues
* Apply DevSecOps best practices throughout the software development lifecycle
* Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and other technical teams
* Respond to evolving customer requirements within tight delivery timelines
Required For This Opportunity * U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a DHS 6C Public Trust clearance
* Bachelor's degree (Computer Science preferred, or equivalent professional experience)
* 7+ years of experience in Agile software development
* Strong experience with: * React, JavaScript, and CSS for front-end development
* Java with Spring / Spring Boot
* RESTful and GraphQL-based microservices
* AWS cloud infrastructure
* Relational databases using JPA/JDBC
* Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
* Containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes or OpenShift)
* DevSecOps tools and CI/CD practices
* Ability to work onsite in Crystal City, VA approximately 2-4 days per month
Nice to Have Skills * Experience supporting government or high-security environments
* Strong mentoring or technical leadership experience

The targeted base salary range for this role is $100,000-$150,000 per year.
