The Opportunity:
Join CACI's Fusion Analysis & Development Effort (FADE) Edge Team and make a direct impact on critical national security missions!
You'll ensure the quality and reliability of complex software systems deployed on tactical edge devices and cloud environments.
This role offers a clear growth path from testing to broader technical responsibilities.
We're investing in someone who wants to grow beyond traditional testing.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement comprehensive test strategies
  • Build automated test suites using modern frameworks (e.g., API testing tools, BDD frameworks)
  • Manage deployment infrastructure including GitLab runners, Helm charts, and Kubernetes across multiple environments
  • Support production edge deployments including fresh cluster deployments and the integration of COTS and custom software totaling more than 100+ containers per deployment
  • Monitor system health and build dashboards for performance metrics (e.g., test execution trends, deployment success rates), functional monitoring, and alerting
  • Coordinate test events and manage release pipelines to streamline delivery
  • Validate software functionality, identify defects, and resolve issues with developers
  • Provide input on user experience, edge UI designs, and deployment scripts for systems in disconnected/contested environments
  • Drive continuous improvement of testing processes and system architecture
  • Collaborate with developers, users, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Work in a collaborative, agile environment with experienced engineers
  • Contribute to shaping testing strategy and test infrastructure automation practices
  • Leverage AI tools for test automation, code generation, and analysis
  • Ensure quality and system reliability for software deployed on tactical edge devices and cloud environments

Qualifications:
Required:
  • U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance preferably with a polygraph OR the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret SCI clearance (candidates with active clearances prioritized)
  • 3+ years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, DevOps, or related technical role
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or 5+ years of related experience
  • Strong foundation in software testing methodologies and automated testing
  • Experience with Linux environments, CI/CD practices, version control, and Agile methodologies
  • Familiarity with containerization concepts and infrastructure as code
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., API testing tools such as Karate, Gherkin for BDD)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with proactive approach to improvements
  • Ability to read and understand code (Java, Python, or similar)
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., API testing tools, BDD frameworks)
