Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior leader within agile teams, accountable for the end-to-end ownership, stability, and evolution of the eCommerce platform built on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and SAP Commerce Cloud (CCv2), ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and business strategy.
  • Act as a domain subject matter expert (SME) and technical authority for the eCommerce ecosystem, including content, catalog, search, checkout, and order management flows, driving platform scalability, performance, and long-term sustainability.
  • Gather, document, and validate detailed business and functional requirements by collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, translating their needs into clear, actionable requirements for project work.
  • Lead solution design and architecture discussions in collaboration with Business Partners, Product Owners, and system integrators, translating complex business requirements into scalable functional and technical solutions.
  • Provide strategic direction across the software development lifecycle, including requirements shaping, solution design, development oversight, testing strategy, and deployment governance, to ensure adherence to enterprise standards and best practices.
  • Own and influence the eCommerce product and technology roadmap, partnering with business stakeholders to prioritize initiatives, define capabilities, and enable future-state digital commerce use cases.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across business, IT, and external partners, ensuring effective delivery of integrated solutions across AEM, CCv2, and connected enterprise platforms (ERP, PIM, middleware, search).
  • Oversee and guide complex system integrations and platform dependencies, ensuring seamless end-to-end data flow and business process continuity across customer-facing and backend systems.
  • Establish and enforce development and delivery governance, including code quality, version control, testing rigor, and release management, to maintain platform integrity and minimize production risk.
  • Lead platform optimization and performance initiatives, identifying system bottlenecks and driving continuous improvement in scalability, reliability, and user experience.
  • Champion the intake, validation, and prioritization of enhancements and defects, ensuring alignment with business priorities and minimizing unintended impacts to core functionality and processes.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior business and IT leadership, providing thought leadership on digital commerce trends, platform capabilities, and architectural direction to enable innovation and growth.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members and technical contributors, fostering a high-performing team culture focused on accountability, delivery excellence, and continuous skill advancement.
  • Provide leadership in production support and incident management, including root cause analysis, performance tuning, and proactive monitoring to ensure high system availability and operational excellence.
  • Drive creation and maintenance of technical design artifacts, standards, and reusable frameworks, ensuring knowledge scalability and long-term platform sustainability.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldrequired

Required Experience and Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of eCommerce experience. 8–10 years of experience in enterprise application development and digital commerce platforms.
  • Experience delivering scalable eCommerce solutions in B2B/B2C environments
  • Experience workinginAgile delivery models.
  • Experience integrating with ERP, PIM, and middleware systems.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of headless commerce and API integrations.
  • Ability to lead solution architecture and technical decisions.
  • Strong communicationskills translating technical concepts to business value.
  • Experience with DevOps, version control, and release management.

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Experience with AEM and SAP Commerce Cloud (CCv2).
  • Leadership and stakeholder management skills.
