Java Developer Software Developer Jobs in Arlington, VA

Piper Companies is looking for a Application Developer to join a government contractor supporting a national security initiative. This role requires the candidate to have an active Top Secret Clearance and report onsite to the client location in Herndon, VA. Essential Duties of theApplication Developer: * Apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle
* Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software
* Correct program errors, compiling documentation of program development, and analyzing system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls
* Ensure software standards are defined and met
Qualifications of theApplication Developer: * Bachelor's degree preferred
* 2-10 years professional Java development experience
* Proven ability to work with XML and experience in COTS/FOSS integration and support
* Ability to troubleshoot and navigate multiple operating system environments including LINUX/Windows
* Experience with Angular and Kubernetes is a huge plus
* Active Top Secret security clearance required
Compensation for theApplication Developer: * $130,000 - $150,000+ (based on experience)
