Job Description

The Java Developer will be tasked with developing, creating and modifying general computer applications software or specialized utility programs. Analyzing user needs and developing software solutions. Designing software or customizing software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. May analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.

Requirements:

Agile/Scrum experience

BS/BA in Computer Science / Engineering or related technical degree

Minimum of 2 years of experience with Spring MVC 4.0 or higher

Minimum of 3 years of experience with Java and OO concepts

Experience in configuring/working with Spring MVC using annotations

Experience configuring and using Spring Boot

Experience with persistence providers like Hibernate or JPA

Experience with developing & consuming REST APIs

Experience with developing test cases & testing using JUnit, Mockito, dbUnit, etc.

1-2 years of experience working with relational databases via Spring

Experience working with JSON

Experience with development tools: Jetbrains IntelliJ, Maven, Git

Able to take specification and turn it into working code with little oversight

At least intermediate level understanding of http and database caching techniques

Ability to set priorities, adapt to change, and meet established timelines

Optional but desired:

Knowledge and/or experience using Spring Security

Experience deploying Spring Applications to an application server

Hands on experience using the Atlassian tool stack (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket Server, Bamboo)

Hands on experience on Microsoft SQL Server / Transact-SQL

Knowledge on integrating REST services with Angular JS/JavaScript based application
