Job Summary
The Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering (CSEE) in the College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics at Eastern Washington University invites applications for a lecturer position in Cybersecurity to begin September 2026.
The department of CSEE offers academic programs leading to bachelor's degrees in computer science, cyber operations and electrical engineering, and master's degrees in computer science and cybersecurity.
The Cybersecurity program has seven faculty members and approximately 150 undergraduate and 10 master students. The department resides in the Catalyst Building located in downtown Spokane's University District. This facility is a public-private partnership with the regional tech industry to create a high-tech hub for innovation and entrepreneurship. It offers our students and faculty outstanding opportunities for collaboration with regional industry and other universities. Classes are taught both in the Catalyst Building and in the main EWU campus in Cheney.

This lecturer position will teach both beginning undergraduate courses in both Computer Science and Cybersecurity. The assigned courses will most likely include, but not be restricted to CS1 in Java, CS2 in Java, C & Unix Programming, and Cybersecurity Fundamentals.
The salary for this position is $79,949. In addition to salary, the university offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, life and disability insurance and retirement.
