The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As a Software Engineer you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Being an active member of a scrum team by participating in all phases of SDLC, including design, software development and code reviews.

  • Working with fellow software engineers, software architects, quality (QA) engineers, full-stack developers, and other engineering/development team members to design and build required systems.

  • Coordinating and communicating with clinical analysts, product analysts, quality analysts, and other software engineers.

  • Contributing to Security and Risk assessments to aid in the deployment of application components in Production.

  • Interacting with customers to resolve operational problems and determine customer requirements, as well as a willingness to be on-call.

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher AND Five (5) years of software development experience.

OR

  • High School Diploma/GED from AND Ten (10) years of software development experience.

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • Five (5) years of software development experience using one or more of the following: Java, C# or Python in a private, public, government or military environment.

  • 1 year experience with relational SQL / NoSQL databases.

  • 1 year of experience with cloud architecture, particularly AWS, web application security and development of large-scale hosted applications.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited institution.

  • Demonstrated skills in software engineering methodology in an Agile environment, including documentation, configuration management, unit and integration testing, continuous integration with verification and validation.

  • Demonstrated problem solving and analysis skills with the ability to work independently and with distributed teams.

  • Experience with AWS serverless technologies such as Lambda/Step Functions.

  • Experience developing code for a Linux/Unix based operating system.

  • Experience developing and delivering commercial enterprise software using solid software design principles and architectural patterns and delivering projects within defined timelines and scope requirements.
