Opportunity:


Virtual Service Operations is searching for a Senior Red hat C++/Java Developer to support application development work on a platform running RHEL 8/10. This role is primarily focused on C++ development, as the applications in scope live and interact directly with the RHEL platform, with Java development as a secondary responsibility. The ideal candidate is a hands-on senior-level developer comfortable working close to the operating system layer and building applications tightly integrated with a Linux-based platform.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications primarily in C++, with supporting development work in Java
  • Build and support applications that interact directly with the RHEL 8/10 platform
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform-level integration issues between applications and the underlying OS
  • Collaborate with the broader development team on application architecture, code reviews, and testing
  • Support ongoing maintenance, debugging, and enhancement of existing C++/Java applications

Required Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience with C++ application development (primary focus)
    Working knowledge of Java development
  • Familiarity with RHEL 8/10 (Red Hat Enterprise Linux)
  • Experience building applications that interact closely with a Linux-based operating system/platform

Requirements

  • 7 - 9 years of professional experience
  • Must be willing to work onsite in Fort Worth, TX or relocate to the area. 
  • Active Secret Clearance required
  • Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. citizenship status
