Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Crescent Systems Inc., (CSI) – a custom hardware/software engineering company headquartered in Richardson, TX, is seeking a talented Software Engineer. The Software Engineer will design, develop, and deliver complex state-of-the-art systems across a variety of engineering disciplines for defense department programs. Candidate must be able to collaborate in a team environment, prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result, prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplishing them simultaneously, and comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions. This Engineer will belong to a software engineering team interacting with customers, suppliers, program management, test engineers and senior management. The selected candidate will be subject to government security investigations and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field
  • Equivalent job experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
  • Experience with Java, Linux, Git


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years with DoD experience
  • Experience in developing and verifying software requirements and interface specifications.
  • Experience with support and test of hardware and software.
  • Working knowledge of: MySQL, Linux KVM, GitLab, Java Swing
  • Current Secret or Top-Secret Security Clearance
