Description


Synergy is looking for an experienced Application Engineer IV to work as part of a STE/STN initiative, developing capabilities to shift from the current manual system security evaluation and authorization process to a new model that emphasizes automation, streamlined processes and approvals, continuous monitoring and assessment, and network data gathering across the entire life cycle of a project. Essential duties and responsibilities include:  


  • Assess interoperability of enterprise IT metadata.
  • Create custom applications/mechanisms to ingest a variety of data stores.
  • Development of data management infrastructure and associated tools.
  • Save and destroy data based on rules.
  • Ensure quality and usability. 
  • Create tools to provide automated reports and information about systems performance to facilitate decisions. 


Requirements


Requires a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and eight (8) years of experience in contracts or programs of similar scope type and complexity. In lieu of a degree, twelve (12) years of relevant experience in contracts or programs of similar scope type and complexity will qualify a candidate for consideration.  


Required Qualifications:

  • Familiar with cloud development
  • Experience working with data ingest and manipulation (ETL)
  • Database experience (Elasticsearch, SQL)
  • Data manipulation and configuration (Java, Python)
  • Linux


Desired Qualifications:

  • Application Containerization (Docker/Docker Swarm)
