Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite - Local Candidates Only)
Job Description
We are looking for an Azure Application Architect with a strong Java and Microservices background to lead the modernization and migration of enterprise applications to Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS). The candidate will design technical architecture, ensure high availability, and implement disaster recovery strategies for mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
  • Define and implement target architecture for migrating applications from PCF/WebLogic/Tomcat to Azure AKS.
  • Architect and design Java Spring Boot microservices and API gateways.
  • Review and optimize system configurations, infrastructure, and application design.
  • Implement DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines across the development lifecycle.
  • Lead the design and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and operations teams to deliver scalable solutions.
Required Skills
  • Strong hands-on experience as an Application Architect with Azure Cloud.
  • Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with API Gateway design and integration.
  • Knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
