Job Overview:
Pay Range: $55hr - $60hr
Requirement/Must Have:
- 8+ years of experience in Java development, preferably in fintech, payments, or platform services.
- Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
- Experience with payment gateways, transaction processing, or digital wallets.
- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Familiarity with message brokers (e.g., Kafka) and API security (OAuth2, JWT).
- Ability to manage stakeholders and monitor server performance.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust Java-based backend services and APIs for platform and payment processing systems.
- Implement secure and scalable solutions for transaction processing, payment gateways, and service orchestration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Identify internal and external dependencies.
- Lead and strategize deployments of applications.
- Integrate with third-party payment providers, banking APIs, and internal microservices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal downtime and high reliability.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and performance tuning.
- Work in Agile/Scrum teams and contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging are in place.
- Maintain version control and branching strategies using Git.
- Collaborate with offshore team members regularly.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Exposure to monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK, Grafana).
