Job Title: Senior Java Developer

Location: Plano, TX 

Duration: Contract-to-Hire

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join a fast-paced enterprise technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java backend development, cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and modern software engineering practices. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and supporting scalable, high-performance applications in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications and microservices.
  • Develop RESTful APIs using Spring Boot and integrate with enterprise systems.
  • Build and support event-driven applications using Kafka or MQ messaging.
  • Develop cloud-native applications and deploy them on AWS, including ECS.
  • Work with PostgreSQL and write efficient SQL queries for high-performance applications.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Maven/Gradle, and Terraform.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code using JUnit and Mockito.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues while ensuring application stability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams following Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Utilize AI-assisted development tools (such as GitHub Copilot) to improve productivity while validating AI-generated code.
  • Follow secure coding standards and software engineering best practices throughout the SDLC.
