Job Summary:
UST is a mission-driven company that transforms lives through technology. They are seeking a strong and agile Java backend developer to work on a high-scale enterprise application, focusing on device communication, real-time event processing, and integration with cloud services.
Responsibilities:
• Handle device communication protocols, data exchange, and real-time event processing
• Ensure high availability and fault tolerance in device interactions
• Design RESTful APIs for device orchestration and enterprise integration
• Implement event-driven architecture using Kafka / ActiveMQ for real-time device events
• Deploy and manage services using Docker/Kubernetes, and Helm
• Build CI/CD pipelines with automated deployment strategies
• Work with Cloud services and API Gateway for scalable integrations
• Develop unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito
• Perform end-to-end validation of hardware-software workflows
Qualifications:
Required:
• Experience range: 9 + Years
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field is required as it is a complex specialized program
• 9 plus years of experience with hands on experience in software/system design, development, testing and troubleshooting of complex backend Java programs
• Strong expertise in Java (17+) and backend development Microservices & REST API design. This is mandatory and resources without expertise need not apply
• Experience with Monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana), Logging, and incident management
• Strong knowledge of SQL, BigQuery, Looker
• Comfortable working in Linux environments
• Strong problem-solving abilities, good communication (written & verbal) skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team are also important for this role.
• Should be able to articulate past projects and do on the fly troubleshooting/ write logic during evaluation
