Job description

We are seeking an experienced Java AWS Architect to design, develop, and lead the implementation of
cloud-native, scalable, secure, and high-performance applications on AWS. The ideal candidate will have
deep expertise in Java technologies, microservices architecture, AWS cloud services, DevOps practices
and enterprise integration patterns
  • 15+ years of IT experience with strong expertise in Java/J2EE.
  • 5+ years of AWS solution architecture experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Java 8/11/17
  • Spring Boot
  • Spring Cloud
  • REST APIs
  • Microservices
  • Hibernate/JPA
  • Messaging platforms (Kafka, SNS, SQS)
  • Experience with:
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes/EKS
  • Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Jenkins
  • Git
  • Maven/Gradle
  • SQL and NoSQL databases.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Hands on Java/AWS Develop code and also support when situation arises
  • Define end-to-end application architecture using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices and AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS and SNS
  • Lead API architecture, integration patterns and microservice design for internal and external customers
  • Drive cloud-native design decisions, infrastructure automation, CI/CD, Terraform, GitLab pipelines and DevSecOps practices
  • Ensure application security, authentication, authorization, encryption and compliance requirements are implemented
  • Review performance, reliability, observability, monitoring, logging and cost optimization strategies on AWS
  • Conduct architecture reviews, technical governance and design approvals with AWS and business stakeholders
  • Design scalable, highly available and resilient solutions that support customer traffic growth and disaster Recovery requirements
  • Own non-functional requirements including scalability, availability, security, maintainability and operational excellence
  • Mentor developers and tech leads on architecture standards, coding practices and cloud adoption
  • Collaborate with customers, product owners, business teams and development teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Salary: $75,000 - $130,000
