Job Title: AWS Full Stack Engineer

Location: New York, NY
Employment Type: Contract

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AWS Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and support cloud-native applications on AWS. The ideal candidate will have expertise in serverless and microservices architectures, event-driven systems, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and modern software development practices. This role requires hands-on experience with AWS services, backend development using Java and Go, and collaboration across cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing applications that support enterprise modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native full stack applications on AWS.
  • Build scalable serverless applications using AWS Lambda and microservices architecture.
  • Design and implement event-driven solutions using Amazon EventBridge, Amazon SQS, and AWS Step Functions.
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using AWS CloudFormation.
  • Develop backend services using Java and Go.
  • Build and optimize data processing workflows using AWS Glue.
  • Design and integrate data solutions using Amazon DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, Amazon S3, and Amazon Athena.
  • Implement secure application development practices following AWS security best practices.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment.
  • Collaborate with architects, product owners, DevOps engineers, and other development teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Apply DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to improve system reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, optimize application performance, and support production deployments.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, technical documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong experience developing cloud-native applications on AWS.
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing serverless and microservices-based architectures.
  • Experience developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CloudFormation.
  • Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and asynchronous messaging patterns.
  • Experience implementing DevOps, SRE, and CI/CD best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS security best practices and secure application development.
  • Experience with modern software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Strong programming experience in Java and Go.
  • Hands-on experience with the following AWS services:
