Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced software engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-level web applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building single-page applications (SPAs) using Angular and Java/Spring, along with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming and modern software development practices.

This position will work on moderately complex application development initiatives and may take a technical lead role on projects. The successful candidate should be comfortable researching technical solutions, troubleshooting application issues, working directly with clients, and mentoring less-experienced developers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain moderately complex application modules and subsystems.
  • Develop enterprise-level web applications, including single-page applications.
  • Build and enhance applications using Java, Spring Framework, Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS.
  • Investigate application defects, determine root causes, and develop effective solutions.
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, release testing, and other quality assurance activities.
  • Research technical requirements and evaluate appropriate development approaches and technologies.
  • Consider performance, target environments, and other technical requirements when designing solutions.
  • Provide technical recommendations and communicate development approaches to project leadership.
  • Lead development activities for assigned projects, including coordinating resources and managing multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Identify and evaluate technical risks and develop contingency plans when necessary.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and development tools.
  • Stay current with relevant technology, industry trends, and internal development standards.
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, technical demonstrations, and other customer-facing activities.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and mentoring to junior team members.
  • Work effectively within an Agile/Scrum development environment while managing competing priorities and maintaining a strong focus on quality.
Required Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and design patterns.
  • Professional experience developing enterprise-level web applications.
  • Hands-on experience developing Java-based web applications using the Spring Framework.
  • Experience with Angular and TypeScript.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML5 and CSS.
  • Experience working with JSON and XML, particularly for data binding and data transfer.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve complex application issues.
