McNeese State University invites applicants for the position of Assistant Professor of Computer Science in the Department of Engineering and Computer Science. This is a full-time, 9-month, unclassified, tenure-track position. The appointment begins in August 2025.

Position Duties/Responsibilities
The position of Assistant Professor is responsible for functions related to teaching courses, advising students, and conducting research. The assistant professor will work closely with faculty and staff in the department of engineering and computer science.
Required/Preferred Qualifications
Required: PhD in Computer Science
Preferred: Experience with Computer Science or Computer Engineering with an interest in Robotics, Python/Java programming, and Machine Learning. In keeping with the mission of McNeese State University, the candidate should have excellent teaching skills, be collegial, and be able to work very well with our students.
