A large enterprise organization in the energy industry is seeking a Senior Java Applications Administrator / SRE to join their team in Dallas. This position is responsible for maintaining and optimizing critical Java-based application environments while supporting cloud platforms, middleware technologies, automation initiatives, and enterprise security requirements. The environment includes Java application servers, IBM middleware, Azure cloud technologies, scheduling platforms, and AI-enabled integrations.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working across application administration, Site Reliability Engineering, cloud technologies, and infrastructure automation. The team is looking for a senior-level engineer who can drive reliability, improve operational efficiency, implement automation, and help modernize enterprise application environments. The role offers strong technical ownership, exposure to emerging technologies, and the ability to influence platform strategy while mentoring other team members.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 8-12+ years of IT experience supporting enterprise application environments.
  • Experience administering Java-based applications in production environments.
  • Strong experience with JBoss and Apache Tomcat.
