Role: Java + GCP Support Engineer
Domain: Supply Chain Management (SCM) - Inventory Planning & Replenishment (IP&R;)
Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite - 5 Days/Week)
Work Schedule: EST Business Hours with Weekend On-Call Support
Position Summary
Provide production support, maintenance, monitoring, and minor enhancements for critical SCM applications within the Inventory Planning & Replenishment domain. Work closely with business users, product teams, and support organizations to ensure application stability and timely incident resolution.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide L2/L3 support for Java and GCP-based SCM applications.
• Monitor application health, integrations, and batch processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents within SLA timelines.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive solutions.
• Support deployments, releases, and environment validations.
• Develop minor enhancements and bug fixes.
• Participate in weekend on-call support rotations.
• Maintain operational documentation and support runbooks.
Required Skills
• 4+ years of Java application support/development experience.
• Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices expertise.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Hands-on knowledge of Cloud Run, GKE, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Logging and
Monitoring tools.
• SQL and database troubleshooting skills.
• CI/CD, Git, and DevOps exposure.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Supply Chain, Inventory Planning, Replenishment, Retail, or Logistics domain experience.
• Exposure to JDE, SAP, or Oracle ERP systems.
• Experience in a 24x7 support environment and ITIL processes.
Primary Objective
Ensure high availability and operational stability of Java and GCP-based SCM applications, providing reliable support during EST business hours and weekend on-call coverage.
