Job Title: Java + AI Engineer

Location: Chicago, IL

Duration: 12 Months + Extension

Bill Rate: $82/hour

Job Type: W-2 Contract

Client: To Be Discussed Later

Work Authorization: US-Citizen, H-1B, OPT-EAD, GC-EAD

Required Skills:

  • Strong Java development experience with deep knowledge of Java Streams
  • Hands-on experience with Generative AI / LLMs
  • RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)
  • Embeddings, Prompt Engineering & AI Agents
  • AI/ML solution development
  • SQL/NoSQL and feature pipelines
  • Cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform preferred; AWS/Azure acceptable)
  • Docker, Kubernetes & CI/CD
  • AI & Automation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML & Generative AI solutions
  • Build LLM-based applications, RAG pipelines, AI agents, and predictive models
  • Develop scalable APIs and microservices for AI integration
  • Implement MLOps/LLMOps practices, monitoring, governance, and observability
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Product Owners, and Cloud teams
  • Ensure Responsible AI, security, compliance, and data privacy
  • Support production deployments, optimization, and continuous improvements
