We've grown nearly 100 years old now, and command a premiere position among Japanese foodservice suppliers, as well as fill a key role as "Culinary Ambassador" promoting Japanese foods worldwide.

Since 2011, our affiliate, Yamasho Atlanta Inc. takes pride in providing a variety of restaurant items ranging from non-food to dry and frozen food products to our restaurant customers in its current location in Chamblee, GA. Today, The company is dedicated to meet and exceed the customersโ€™ expectations and create an unique experience to our customers with the explosion of Japanese food and culture in America.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Meet the monthly and annual sales quota as designated by the manager.
  • Develop and maintain relationship with potential and existing clients in the designated areas/regions; visit customers to provide support, share information, and sell the Company's products.
  • Identify and explore potential new clients through various methods, including networking, referrals and cold calls.
  • Conduct market research, develop and implement sales strategies for the assigned region.
  • Coordinate with the accounting department to assure the collection of payment in a timely manner.
  • Collect past due payments from customers.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and building rapport; troubleshoot product-related issues and handle complaints; resolve them in a timely manner and escalate to the management as needed.
  • Collaborate with purchasing department, warehouse, and other involved parties to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly.
  • Coordinate urgent deliveries with the customer to accommodate their needs.
  • Travel to other locations to meet with clients as needed.
  • Educate customers on how the products or services can benefit them.
  • Input and update orders within the Company database in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and safely operate the Company vehicle as per the Company Vehicle Policy.
  • Participate in the weekly sales meetings.
  • Attend semiannual inventory count on designated day, possibly on a weekend.
  • Attend Company events and functions outside of normal working hours.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Obligation to answer to all management as requested.

Physical Requirements:
  • Able to drive for extended periods of time.
  • Able to sit in a car for extend periods of time.
  • Able to travel within or outside of Atlanta as needed.
  • Able to talk, hear, walk, stand, smell, taste, reach, bend, kneel, and lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Able to use the phone for extended periods of time.
  • Working Condition.
  • Noise Level: Normal to loud.
  • Location: Indoor in the office and at least 50% of the time in the field visiting customers, restaurants, wholesalers, distributors, etc.

Other Requirements:
  • Business-level English and Chinese bilingual ability is required.
  • Business-level Japanese is preferred.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Able to stay overnight out of town for client visits, as required.
  • Maintain a positive attitude.
  • Able to work independently and as a team.
  • Able to adapt to frequent changes in assignments and workload.
  • High school diploma required; Associate degree and above strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in preferably in Japanese food industry.
  • Experience in Japanese restaurant business is a plus.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Possess basic mathematical knowledge such as markups, discounts, counting inventory, weight and measurement conversions, combining, etc.
  • Strong customer service, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, Microsoft Business Central is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Japanese foods and liquors strongly preferred.
