Job description

BW Industrial Construction is seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Development Manager to drive growth within our missioncritical and hyperscale data center markets. This role requires leveraging technical expertise and strategic sales capabilities to identify new opportunities, coordinate closely with internal engineering teams, and expand our presence in the rapidly growing data center sector. Ideal candidates bring experience in industrial or MEPheavy environments, with a proven ability to cultivate client relationships and deliver measurable results.


Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify Japanrelated industrial opportunities within the U.S. market.
  • Grow BWs presence with Japanese clients, Japanowned companies, and EPC partners operating in the U.S.
  • Analyze client needs across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and industrial construction scopes.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with Japanese business practices and U.S. market conditions.
  • Support bilingual presales communication, proposals, and early project discussions.
  • Coordinate smooth handoff to estimating and operations.


Requirements

  • 2+ years of BD or sales engineering experience in construction/engineering, ideally supporting Japanese clients or industrial projects.
  • Demonstrated success in building and leveragingactive contactsto generate new opportunities.
  • Proven relationshipbuilding skills with Japanese stakeholders.
  • Understanding of U.S. construction markets and Japanese client expectations.
  • Ability to translate client needs into actionable solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience in industrial or commercial construction business development will be considered.
  • Must speak Japanese and English.
