About the role
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Head Spa Practitioner to deliver the signature Sage + Sound scalp treatment experience. This is more than a shampoo service - it is a carefully thoughtfully designed ritual combining specialized equipment, therapeutic technology, and expert technique to nurture the hair, scalp, and soul of every guest.
You will be the face and hands behind one of the most indulgent treatments in modern hair care, using the full Yume head spa system to create an unforgettable experience that keeps clients returning.
Core responsibilities
  • Deliver the full Sage + Sound treatment protocol, including consultation, cleansing, shampooing, and scalp massage
  • Operate and maintain the Yume Spa unit for each client
  • Customize each treatment to individual hair type, scalp condition, and client preference
  • Educate clients on scalp health and recommend suitable home care products from the retail range
  • Maintain a serene, sensory-rich treatment environment aligned with the Sage + Sound philosophy
  • Build lasting client relationships that foster loyalty and repeat visits
  • Collaborate with other practitioners to complement wider wellness services

Required skills & experience
  • Professional qualification in hairdressing, trichology, or beauty therapy
  • Proven experience in scalp treatments or shampoo services in a salon or spa environment
  • Confident and precise scalp massage technique
  • Strong knowledge of hair and scalp anatomy and common conditions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a calm, attentive, client-first approach
  • Ability to stand and work for extended periods at the shampoo station
  • Availability to work 3-4 days a week

Preferred qualities
  • Experience with luxury or high-end spa/salon environments
  • Familiarity with Japanese head spa techniques or interest in training
  • Retail sales confidence and product knowledge
  • Natural ability to create a calming, trusting atmosphere
