Shift: Monday - Thursday 6:45am-5:15pm OT as needed on Fridays


Purpose of the Position:

Safely and efficiently operate, adjust, set and maintain all manufacturing equipment to produce material in accordance with customer specifications.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate extrusion machines on designated production lines
  • Change out dies and provide maintenance and calibration of machine to ensure material is running properly
  • Make adjustments to equipment to produce quality product
  • Ensure machinery is continuously stocked with material
  • Assist packers with packing in accordance with customer requirements
  • Communicate and work effectively with packers to meet production goals, provide break relief
  • Safely operate a Forklift and overhead crane to move dies, material or equipment as needed
  • Read and comprehend instructions and following established procedures
  • Keep workstation clean and organized
  • Cross train in other areas as needed and other duties as assigned or required


Qualifications

  • Basic math skills
  • Mechanically inclined, understanding of hand tools and quality tools (i.e. screw drivers, hammers, calipers, tape measurer, etc.)
  • Detailed oriented, organized, and motivated
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to understand spoken and written English
  • Previous Forklift experience
  • Ability to work overtime and needed
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • High School Diploma or GED


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for 12 plus hours daily
  • Ability to use both hand, wrists, and arms with continual motion
  • Ability to push, pull, grasp, and reach objects
  • Ability to lift 30 plus pounds repeatedly and up to 50 occasionally
  • Ability to bend, stoop and walk frequently
