Position Summary: This position is responsible for assisting the Janitorial Services Supervisor with providing on-the-job training and supervision to all employees in the performance of janitorial duties. A primary responsibility of this position is adherence to the contract statement of work for the project.

Duties will include the initial and ongoing training of employees, management of and ongoing communication with employees, preparation of the work schedules of cleaning duties, inspection of work to ensure quality; assisting the Supervisor in monitoring inventory levels to insure adequate janitorial supplies and monitoring and maintaining the operating conditions of motor vehicles and janitorial equipment related to the effective work performance of the janitorial worker. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assists the Janitorial Supervisor with providing on-the-job training and supervision to all employees in the performance of janitorial duties: Vacuuming of offices Wet mopping of halls, offices, and cafeterias Dust mopping of halls, offices, and cafeterias Buffing, stripping, and waxing of floors Stocking bathrooms with tissue and paper towels Cleaning of bathroom areas Empty trash & ash trays Cleaning other areas as needed Washing windows, as assigned Washing of walls, as assigned Assist the Janitorial Supervisor with planning, organizing, directing, controlling and coordinating all services in the statement of work. Ensures adherence to the contract statement of work for the project Perform Quality Control inspections on work performed by the janitorial staff in coordination with the supervisor Stewards a positive and productive relationship with the Nobis Enterprises DARB customer Is a cultural champion for the organization fostering an environment of trust, alignment, transparency and accountability.

Meets all quality standards in the Statement of Work (SOW) and contract. Provides initial and ongoing training of employees Manages daily and ongoing communication with employees Prepare work schedules of cleaning duties Inspects work to ensure quality Assists the Supervisor in monitoring inventory levels to insure adequate janitorial supplies Monitors the operating conditions of motor vehicles; notifies the Operation Manager (vehicles liaison) or Janitorial Supervisor of any concerns. Monitors the operating conditions of janitorial equipment and notifies Janitorial Supervisor of any concerns Assists supervisor with safety compliance issues including maintaining OSHA standards on work materials (i.e., SDS Sheets) Maintains a good attendance record, according to established policies Seasonal (quarterly or semi-annual) cleaning or overflow work as directed

Duty weekend cleaning or overflow work as directed. Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent Prior Experience: Experience with staffing and Quality Control inspections on custodial contracts highly desired. Experience in guiding or working with people with disabilities a must 1-year supervisory experience or 4 years prior janitorial experience with demonstrated leadership capability Qualifications: Mission driven, guided by core values and a pleasure to work with.

Must be able to satisfy security requirements for base access. Ability to stay calm under pressure. Basic troubleshooting and maintenance of floor care cleaning equipment.

Basic computer skills - Microsoft Office Maintain driver's license and acceptable driving record in order to operate Tommy Nobis Center or contractor vehicles. Must pass drug screen and background check. Eligibility to work in the United States.

Able to work a flexible work schedule. Special Skills/Abilities: Interpersonal: Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment. Works well with the public and provides exceptional customer service.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality. Written Communications: Strong written communication skills required to maintain quality documentation and effectively communicate with a broad range of individuals. Analytical: Good math aptitude Good analytical skills needed to analyze various job tasks Oral Communications: Strong verbal communication skills required to effectively communicate with a broad range of individuals.

Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Leadership: Ability to effectively communicate with and lead staff in the operation of their duties. Organizational: Ability to organize work area, supply room and maintain data for required reports.

Problem-Solving Ability to meet contract office requirement standards and prescribed deadlines. Ability to proactively identify when an issue has arisen or is likely to arise. Recognizing when there is a problem.

Ability to organize individual workload, scheduling, and training. Equipment Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook. Have knowledge and understanding of most equipment related to janitorial operations (i.e., floor buffers, vacuum, etc.) Other Qualifications or Requirements: Mental Effort: Ability to think clearly and multitask

Physical Requirements: Have full range of mobility in upper and lower body. Be able to reach overhead. Be able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time.

Be able to handle, lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and ability to withstand strenuous activity. Must be able to stand for extended periods.

Visual Effort: Well-lighted office/warehouse environment requiring an average amount of visual effort. Safety: Follows all prescribed safety regulations to diminish accidents. Understanding of OSHA safety requirements.

Knowledge of evacuation procedures and the whereabouts of exits and fire extinguishers. Immediately report circumstances you consider may present a hazard to yourself and others. Report any accident whether minor or major.

Security Must abide by all security regulations of the facility. Must obtain and wear a photo ID.
