Job description

Summary/Objective
Work to keep the Agency properties clean and free of janitorial/maintenance problems through personal
efforts facilitating all high level janitorial duties and light maintenance duties.
Essential Functions
1. Sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and
scrubbing and buffing machines.
2. Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas. May remove stains from
surfaces as rugs, drapes, floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions
3. Maintain records and monitor all assigned employee work.
4. Perform light maintenance work and high level janitorial duties.
5. Maintain appearance of all facilities owned and leased through scheduled cleaning activities.
6. Maintain inventory and order janitorial supplies as needed.
7. Organize and maintain the appropriate janitorial supply areas in all facilities.
8. Maintain the general cleanliness and appearance of agency vehicles.
9. Communicate with direct supervisor to maintain communication flow and report developments as
they occur.
10. Maintain good rapport/working relationship with all employees.
11. Train assigned workers in correct and safe product/equipment use.
12. Perform any miscellaneous duties assigned.
