We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Senior Program Director who excels in synchronizing teams and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. This position is based at our client's office, reporting directly to the client’s Executive Committee, and supervising other project and construction managers. You will provide executive leadership and strategic oversight for the Client's capital development program, including major healthcare construction projects, hospital acquisitions, infrastructure investments, campus expansions, and long-range facility development initiatives. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and act as the Owner's Representative, helping establish and manage a comprehensive program management organization responsible for delivering a multi-billion-dollar portfolio of healthcare projects.

You will be responsible for the overall delivery of program management services, including leading the planning, design, construction, activation, and closeout of multiple large, medium, and small capital projects in alignment with the Client's strategic objectives. The position will oversee all aspects of project execution, ensuring successful outcomes related to scope, schedule, budget, quality, operational readiness, and safety.

Serving as the Client's strategic expert and advocate, the you will provide executive oversight of design and construction activities, proactively identifying, managing, and resolving complex project issues, disputes, and stakeholder challenges. The individual will collaborate closely with senior leadership, facility operations teams, clinical stakeholders, consultants, architects, engineers, contractors, and program staff to ensure effective decision-making, accountability, and program performance.

You will play a critical role in establishing governance structures, implementing program controls, building high-performing teams, and developing scalable processes capable of supporting a growing portfolio of healthcare capital investments. The successful candidate will possess the leadership, communication, and technical expertise necessary to maintain alignment among stakeholders while driving consistent project execution and long-term program success.

This position requires an experienced healthcare design and construction executive with a proven ability to lead large-scale capital programs, develop trusted client relationships, manage organizational change, and successfully deliver complex healthcare projects from concept through completion. As a key leader within the program organization, the Senior Program Director will be instrumental in maintaining connectivity between the Client, project stakeholders, and delivery teams, ensuring resources, support, and organizational alignment are in place to achieve program objectives.

Here’s what you'll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and significant related experience.
  • Preferred Certifications: PE, AIA Registered Architect, or PMP
  • 20+ years of related healthcare design and construction project management experience
  • Strong working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building
  • Demonstrated success working directly with CEOs, COOs, CFOs, Boards, and executive leadership teams.
  • Proven Experience managing $1 Billion+ hospital projects

The base salary range for this position is $240,000.00 to $290,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
