JOB TITLE:ย Infusion RNย ย 

POSITION SUMMARY:ย 

The Outpatient Infusion RN isย responsible for delivering safe, high-quality infusion therapy to patients in an ambulatory infusion clinic setting. This role provides direct patient care through the administration and monitoring of intravenous medications, biologics, hydration therapy,ย therapeutic phlebotomyย and other infusion treatments while ensuring compliance with clinical protocols, physician orders, and regulatory requirements.ย The infusion RN works closely with members of theย SVHย Outpatientย services team. This positionย reports directly to the Outpatient Nursing Supervisorย and works in partnership with providers, nursing staff, and ancillary departments to support efficient clinic operations and positive patient outcomes.ย To promote flexibility and continuity of care, the Infusion RN may be cross-trained and assigned to support other outpatient service areas under the direction of the Outpatient Nursing Supervisor, as needed.ย ย ย 

In addition to clinical responsibilities, the Outpatient Infusion RN coordinates patient scheduling and manages administrative functions that support clinic operations.ย ย

QUALIFICATIONS:ย 

Required Education:ย 

  • Current license to practice as a Registered nurse in the State of Washingtonย 

Preferred Certification:ย 

  • Current ACLS certificationย 

  • Certification in Ultrasound-Guided Peripheral IV insertionย ย 

Required Experience:ย 

  • Infusion therapy and outpatient clinical nursing preferredย 

  • Therapeutic phlebotomyย 

  • At least 2 years ofย nursingย experienceย in an outpatient clinical settingย 

  • IV insertion and vascular access skillsย 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:ย 

  • Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids and other conditions common to a clinical environmentย 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:ย 

  • Requires full range of motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Requires ability in emergency situations to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under changing conditions or working irregular hoursย
