Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive patient care across various settings, including acute care, long-term care, outpatient clinics, and specialized units such as ICU, PICU, and trauma centers. This role requires proficiency in a wide range of clinical skills and experience with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health, and individuals with disabilities.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical histories.
  • Administer medications and injections accurately following aseptic techniques and medication protocols.
  • Perform advanced procedures such as IV infusion, catheterization, suturing, tube feeding, and wound care.
  • Manage airway support with ventilator management and oxygen therapy as needed.
  • Utilize EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks for documentation and medical records management.
  • Coordinate diagnostic evaluations including laboratory tests, radiology imaging (e.g., mammography, sonography), and specimen collection/processing.
  • Provide specialized care in areas such as cardiology (cardiac catheterization), infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, and trauma medicine at Level I & II trauma centers or teaching hospitals.
  • Engage in discharge planning, case management, health coaching, and patient education tailored to individual needs.
  • Maintain infection control standards and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
  • Assist with complex procedures such as spinal taps, gastrostomy care, ostomy management, and neonatal ventilator support when applicable.
  • Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams across outpatient clinics, inpatient units, emergency rooms, surgical centers, or home & community care settings.


Requirements

  • Valid RN license with current registration in the state of practice.
  • Proven experience in diverse clinical environments such as ICU, emergency room, medical-surgical units, pediatrics (including neonatal ICU), geriatrics (including memory care), behavioral health, or post-acute care settings.
  • Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner; familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology (including CPT & ICD coding), infection control protocols, and medical terminology.
  • Ability to perform complex procedures such as IV insertion/venipuncture and sterile processing techniques.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is a plus.
  • Critical care experience including ICU or trauma center background highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective triage assessments and patient education.
