Pentec Health is hiring a Home Health Infusion Registered Nurse in Columbus, OH area. You will have the ability to maintain your own schedule to meet patients needs, while traveling within the area (possibly up to 200 miles). This is a full time, permanent position, with hours of operation of Monday through Friday 8am-5:30pm.

Our Home Health Infusion Registered Nurse meets the needs of patients with implanted drug delivery devices through comprehensive patient assessments, nursing interventions, pump refills, dose adjustments and patient education. Our RN’s demonstrate professional leadership while providing nursing care primarily in patients homes, where care is reviewed and adapted accordingly to facilitate mutually agreed upon goals.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Responsible for all elements of the nursing process including assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation for each patient; assists with telephonic and supportive nursing needs of the department; acts as a resource for referral sources, patients, and the healthcare team.
  • Collaborates with the prescribing provider, patient and their caregivers; ensures orders are received and they are appropriate and actionable.
  • Acts in a manner consistent with ANA and all applicable State Board of Nursing standards; successfully completes the assigned training program upon hire; promotes integrative care techniques to assist the patient with symptom management to improve quality of life; maintains patient records in compliance with state, HIPAA and Accrediting Agency requirements.
  • Educates patients and caregivers on a healthy lifestyle and promotes informed decisions and integrative care techniques to assist the patient with symptom management to improve quality of life; tailors education to meet each patient/caregiver’s healthcare literacy; Promotes integrative care techniques to assist the patient with symptom management to improve quality of life.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • RN licensure with ability to become licensed in another state; 3 years clinical nursing experience; Valid driver’s license and auto insurance; ICU/ER/OR and/or home care experience preferred; BSN preferred.
  • Strong clinical background: Understands standard vs. urgent response; Ability to quickly assess and react to changes in patient conditions.
  • Strong written, verbal, organizational and teamwork skills; Excellent customer service and critical thinking skills; Ability to work independently and to be resourceful; Proactive problem solver.
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe PDF, smartphones and tablets.
