Job description

Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Marshall, Michigan

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 12:00 PM - 12:30 AM every other weekend; available for holiday coverage.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care, ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients by utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment. The role involves all phases of the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The Registered Nurse is responsible for directing and supervising the nursing patient care team, which may include Certified Nursing Assistants and Licensed Practical Nurses. Collaboration with the nursing team and other disciplines is essential to provide comprehensive patient care. Accurate and timely documentation of patient care, condition, reactions, and treatment responses is also required.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient care using critical thinking and the nursing process.
  • Supervise and direct nursing support staff.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members for the provision of care.
  • Document patient care and track progress efficiently.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

  • 2+ years of Emergency Department experience - Required
  • Cerner experience - Required
  • Charge experience - Required
  • TNCC certification - Preferred
  • BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA) certifications - Required
  • Active RN license in Michigan
