We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our anesthesia care team. The CRNA will be responsible for administering intravenous, inhalation, and regional anesthetics to render persons insensible to pain during surgical procedures, obstetrical deliveries, or other medical and dental procedures. Potentially administers anesthesia to all ages and A.S.A. classes of patients, including geriatrics and pediatrics. Provides airway management services as needed throughout the hospital.ย 

Work-Life:ย 

  • Minimal call with a 45-minute response timeย ย 
  • Private call rooms available for those on callย ย ย 
  • Wide variety of shifts: 8-10-12hr shifts to start with an opportunity to transition to longer shifts if desired.ย ย 
  • Wide variety of cases Ortho, Neuro, vascular, general, trauma, bariatric, plastics, thoracic, robots, cysto, OB, and small number of peds)ย ย 
  • Airway management for house wide codes and ED traumasย ย 
  • We staff the endoscopy center (3 rooms), and surgery center (5 rooms) located across the street from the hospitalย ย 
  • OB CRNA team for epiduralsย ย 

Key Responsibilities:ย 

  • Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and develop tailored anesthesia care plans.ย 
  • Administer anesthesia (general, regional, or monitored anesthesia care) in collaboration with surgeons and other healthcare providers.ย 
  • Monitor patients during procedures and manage any anesthesia-related complications.ย 
  • Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management.ย 
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.ย 

Working Conditions:

  • Moderate physical activity.ย  Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
  • Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipmentย 
  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environmentย 
  • Will work with blood or blood-borne pathogens and will require OSHA training
  • Mix of 8-10-12hr shifts with opportunity to transition to longer shifts if desired.

  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.ย 

  • Graduation from an accredited school of anesthesia.ย 

  • Ability to work harmoniously in collaborative situations with anesthesiologists and other health care providers.ย
