Job Title

Part-Time Registered Nurse

Position Highlights
  • Part-Time 24 hours/week
  • Hours: Tuesday-Thursday 8:30am-5pm
  • Location: Hoffman Estates
Responsibilities
  • Understand and follow physician instructions and verbal orders.
  • Perform lab draws, injections, and initiate, care for, and monitoring IV's.
  • Obtain and document consents for procedures appropriately.
  • Correctly dispose of sharps and cytotoxic waste.
  • Accurately document patient phone calls in EMR.
  • Perform duties of RN in an Infusion Center setting, such as, required monitoring and recording of vitals as specified, either by a physician order or requirements of a specific drug.
  • Educate and teach on new drugs that will be administered to patients.
  • Correctly calculate dosages and mixture of drugs and be knowledgeable of common side effects of infusion drugs.
  • Respond appropriately to changes in patient status such as allergic reactions or other adverse reactions.
  • Stock rooms, nursing carts, crash cart and updating of crash cart, patient drinks and snacks on a daily basis.
  • All patient areas must be cleaned daily with disinfectant cleanser.
  • Exhibits computer systems knowledge and proficiency as necessary to perform job functions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned when appropriate.
  • Adheres to HIPAA guidelines set forth in Clinic policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Possession of State Registered Nurse license.
  • BLS/CPR certification
  • Two years of professional nursing experience in a clinic setting preferred.
  • Prefer prior IV and infusion experience.
  • ONCC preferred

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $32.65-49.00, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
