BrightStar Care of Marietta & Cherokee County is an established, successful, and growing private duty home care agency operating primarily in Cobb, Cherokee, Bartow, Pickens, and Paulding counties. We offer skilled nursing services as well as companion and personal care, primarily to the elderly and persons with disabilities. BrightStar is a leader in the home health care industry and has 300 locations nationwide with each location being independently owned and operated.
We are now seeking a Georgia Registered Nurse with a passion for providing compassionate, high quality care to support the growth of our business. Hours of work are flexible Monday to Sunday, although some flexibility will be required to meet the demands of the job.
Summary:
The Registered Nurse - Home Care supports the Director of Nursing in the clinical, regulatory, and compliance oversight of the Agency while also managing a caseload of skilled nursing patients, assisting in the care management of the non-skilled private clients, and supervising the non-skilled field staff. Nurse visits will include home injections, home infusions, wound care, and other skilled activities for the agency as arise from time to time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Nurse visits requiring RN or Hi-Tech RN skills, including home injections and home infusions and other services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skill
  • Makes an initial evaluation visit and regularly reevaluates the nursing and personal care needs of clients
  • Establishes a plan of care and makes necessary revisions in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Prepares clinical and progress notes and summaries of care
  • Informs physician or Case Manager of changes in the patient's condition or needs
  • Counsels the client and family in meeting nursing and related needs
  • Performs Reassessments and updates to the Plans of Care of private clients
  • Identifies and participates and supports Director of Nursing in performance improvement activities
  • Stays informed about changes in the field of nursing and home health care and promotes referrals in the health care community
  • Follows BrightStar HELP method for excellent customer service and assists in the conversion from initial inquiry through Living Room Visits
  • Ensures proper maintenance of clinical records
  • Other duties as may be established from time to time

Job Requirements for Infusion Registered Nurse / RN - Home Care
  • Current and unrestricted RN license in Georgia
  • Smart and professional appearance
  • At least 3 years of documented experience; ideally more; preferably in a home health agency, hospital, primary care clinic, or other health facility
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the US
  • Reliable car / auto insurance
  • Clean background and criminal record check
  • Experienced preferred: Peripheral IV starts/maintenance & IV Infusion Therapy Injection and Self-infusion Training Phlebotomy for adult and pediatric patients CVAD experience & knowledge, Advanced Nursing Certifications (CRNI, OCN preferred)
