Job Description:Our client is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide onsite technical support for faculty, staff, and students in a fast-paced higher education environment. This role will focus on delivering excellent customer service while troubleshooting hardware, software, and end-user technology issues across both Windows and Mac platforms.

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working directly with users, can remain calm under pressure, and has strong problem-solving skills. While technical knowledge is important, the team places a high value on customer service, communication, and the ability to build trust with end users.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Tier 1–1.5 technical support for faculty and staff members.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues across Windows and Mac environments.
  • Support faculty, staff, and students with technology-related requests and provide excellent customer service.
  • Assist with software installations, printer setup, device troubleshooting, and general desktop support.
  • Provide onsite support by visiting classrooms, offices, and campus locations to resolve technical issues.
  • Assist with classroom technology needs and time-sensitive issues impacting instruction.
  • Document and track support requests through ticketing systems.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to escalate and resolve more complex technical issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, or a related technical role.
  • Experience supporting both Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical users.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
