Position Description:
Do you want to be part of one of the five largest IT and business process companies in the world? At CGI, we are looking for an IT Project Manager to join one of our dynamic teams. We are seeking a mid-level IT Project Manager to lead technology projects that directly impact public services. In this role, you will manage initiatives that modernize and enhance IT systems, ensuring compliance with standards, and alignment with company missions. You will partner with the central ePMO, business leaders, technology teams, and external vendors to deliver projects on time, within scope, and with measurable value.
This position is located in Lafayette, LA in a hybrid work environment, requiring on-site two days per week.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• End-to-end project management for IT initiatives of moderate size and complexity (e.g., system modernization, cloud adoption, cybersecurity, citizen services platforms).
• Be a champion for PMO standards, processes, and methods across the enterprise.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, risk registers, and progress reports.
• Ensure compliance with IT governance, regulations, and security/privacy requirements.
• Coordinate across multiple stakeholders including leadership, program managers, vendors, and contractors.
• Manage SLAs, and performance to ensure accountability and delivery of value.
• Monitor and communicate project risks, issues, and dependencies to leadership and oversight bodies.
• Apply project management best practices, including Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
• Support knowledge transfer, documentation, and sustainability planning to ensure long-term success beyond project closeout.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Public Administration, Business, or related field
• 5-7 years of IT project management experience
• Demonstrated success managing IT programs with multiple stakeholders and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to brief executive leadership
Desired skills:
• Experience managing complex public-sector or government-related projects.
• Knowledge of government procurement, contract management, and regulatory compliance.
• PMP, PMI-ACP, or SAFe certification
• Experience collaborating with legislative bodies, auditors, and federal oversight agencies is a plus.
• Experience with MS Project Enterprise

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $71,700 - $125,400.
