Job description

Our IT department at Community Concepts is hiring an I.T. Support Specialist, based out of our Rumford office. This is an entry level IT position that will work as part of the IT team. The I.T. Support Specialist is responsible for providing superior first line technical response, excellent customer service, and assistance to all agency users, who have varying degrees of technical abilities, on agency supported systems. This position is 40 hours per week and must be available for flex hours, on-call rotation and occasional over-time. Travel throughout the service area to various job sites is required.

Starting Rate/Range: $22.00-24.00/hr.

Essential Duties:

  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues, password resets, permission adjustments, answering questions pertaining to the use of agency-owned ‘off the shelf software’, and performing printer and PC maintenance
  • Manage HelpDesk system, timely and accurate documentation, categorization, prioritizing incoming requests
  • Providing technical assistance to end users on basic application navigation and hardware setup workflows
  • Assist with preparing new devices, ensuring they are assigned to the appropriate department and programs, as well as preparing appropriate profiles based on the end user’s placement in agency

Desired Qualifications:

Other Requirements: MS Office/Outlook proficiency, attention to detail, public speaking with small and medium-sized audiences, and strong written communication skills. Must have a valid driver’s license; computer/word-processing skills and the ability to function autonomously and as part of a team. Must be able to work and communicate positively with people with varying levels of computer competencies and at all organizational levels.
