Overview

Join a global financial crimes compliance team focused on maintaining and enhancing sanctions screening controls across international operations. In this role, you'll support critical sanctions list management activities, collaborate with global stakeholders, leverage emerging technologies to drive efficiency, and help ensure compliance with evolving regulatory requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and analytical professional interested in sanctions, financial crime compliance, risk management, and regulatory operations.

Responsibilities

Maintain and enhance sanctions screening watchlists, including vendor-provided and internally developed lists
Review watchlists for outdated or missing entries and conduct formal annual reviews
Implement new, modified, or updated sanctions list entries in accordance with established procedures
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure required documentation is completed prior to approvals and quality control review
Confirm sanctions lists are accurately uploaded into screening systems and reconcile upload results
Escalate issues and exceptions to Sanctions Compliance, Global Sanctions Advisory, and AML stakeholders when appropriate
Maintain documentation and records related to sanctions list updates, quality control reviews, and attestations in accordance with record retention requirements
Support Global and Regional (EMEA, etc.) sanctions compliance initiatives, special projects, and program enhancement activities
Utilize AI, automation, and data analytics tools to improve operational efficiency and strengthen controls
Partner with global and regional (i.e., EMEA) stakeholders to support sanctions screening governance, list management requirements, and compliance with applicable sanctions standards

Experience

Early-career professional with experience in compliance, sanctions, AML, risk management, operations, audit, consulting, banking, or related fields
Demonstrates strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Experience managing competing priorities and working independently to achieve results
Investigative, research, or regulatory support experience preferred

Skills

Familiarity with sanctions screening processes, list management, and watchlist maintenance
Understanding of international sanctions regimes, including OFAC, EU, UK, UN, and other regulatory frameworks preferred
Ability to coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders and manage documentation requirements
Experience with quality control, reconciliation reporting, and recordkeeping processes
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Exposure to data analytics, automation, artificial intelligence (AI), large language models (LLMs), or reporting tools such as Python, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or Excel VBA preferred

Communicates effectively with stakeholders across regions and functions
Demonstrates critical thinking and sound judgment in decision-making
Maintains strong attention to detail and organizational effectiveness
Works independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines

The typical base pay range for this role is $70,000 to $82,000 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
