CONTACT LENS ASSISTANT LEVEL II

Division: KYCO Department: Student Affairs Experience: Advanced

Start Date: 8/25/2026

The Contact Lens Assistant Level III supports clinical faculty and students in the contact lens labs and maintains supplies. This position plays an essential role in lab setup, inventory, and assisting in student and patient-related preparation.

Responsibilities and Career Competencies:

  1. Maintain and stock contact lens supplies for the contact lens lab - P, T
  2. Assist with organization and cleanliness of the contact lens rooms - P, CSD
  3. Maintain cleanliness of clinical equipment, including trial lenses and solutions - P, T
  4. Assist in the preparation and restocking of supplies for student labs - TW, P
  5. Provide support during clinical lab sessions when students need materials or troubleshooting help - TW, C, T
  6. Collaborate with supervisors to maintain accurate inventory lists - CT, T, P
  7. May assist with tracking and organizing patient contact lens orders under supervision - C, T, P
  8. Complete assigned administrative or clerical duties related to lab upkeep - P, T
  9. Communicate with faculty or staff regarding needs, issues, or requests in the lab - C, TW
