Job Summary:
One Way Solutions is a small but dynamic IT services company dedicated to supporting other small to mid-sized businesses. They are seeking a Senior Computer Hardware Technician to ensure quality product delivery in a timely manner, requiring strong IT systems understanding and troubleshooting skills.
Responsibilities:
• Build, install, and configure desktop PCs and servers (Windows).
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues on servers and workstations.
• Set up, configure, and manage network hardware including switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Perform system upgrades, patches, and preventive maintenance.
• Assist with cabling, racking, and physical infrastructure deployments.
• Maintain and track IT inventory (hardware, software licenses)
• Provide support for desktop and network-related incidents and service requests
Qualifications:
Required:
• Proven experience with server and desktop PC builds and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, components, and architecture.
• Proficiency in networking concepts and equipment (VLANs, IP addressing, switch configuration).
• Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and basic Linux administration.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• 5+ years of professional experience building and repair Servers and PCs.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively
Preferred:
• CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
