Division Information
The Home & Garden business unit of Spectrum Brands is based in St. Louis, Missouri with distribution, manufacturing and sales offices throughout the US and globe. Job Summary
Manage, lead, and develop an inventory and supply planning strategy while developing and executing production and/or purchase plans to ensure that supply plans meet inventory investment and customer service objectives.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead a team, focus on continuous improvement, and develop talent.
  • Must understand and demonstrate safe work practices at all times to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Analyze multiple sources of data to develop feasible, master production plans for finished goods based on capacity requirements.
  • Strategically plan capacity utilization.
  • Work closely with manufacturing facilities to ensure production plans are executed in accordance with established plans.
  • Evaluate real-time forecast consumption and consumer level POS information; take corrective action to optimize inventory in accordance with those trends.
  • Utilize and maintain advanced planning systems and optimization (APO/PPDS) to achieve working capital management, manufacturing stability and customer service level targets; includes creation and maintenance of critical master data.
  • Provide Supply side analysis to Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
  • Interact frequently with customer service, demand planning, sales, purchasing, and manufacturing personnel to balance supply and demand.
  • Manage SMOG (Slow Moving, Obsolete Goods) inventory. Direct salvage of damaged or unusable material.
  • Identify and implement inventory management plans to achieve customer service and cost improvement objectives.
  • Facilitate excellent vendor management practices. Manage the tactical relationship with our 60+ component suppliers supporting internal manufacturing.
  • Contribute as a key team member at meetings and reviews, with key accountabilities for providing metrics, resolving issues, proposing alternate methods, identifying corrective actions, and presenting information.
  • Recommend and implement strategies to improve supply planning processes as well as manage risks and opportunities for assigned projects.
  • Analyze department performance metrics to resolve issues and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple tasks to ensure timely completion in a fluid environment.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Profile
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Supply Chain Management
  • Minimum of five years related work experience in production and inventory management, supply chain management, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • APICS certification is a plus.

Work Environment
95% office environment and 5% manufacturing environment. This is a hybrid role, based mainly in our Earth City office Tuesday- Thursday. Monday and Friday are work from home.
