Tractor Supply Company is currently hiring for our 2027 Information Technology (IT) Summer Internship Program at our Store Support Center located in Brentwood, TN!

The IT Summer Internship is an 11-week program designed for students interested in building a career in information technology. Interns gain hands-on experience within a specific area of IT while working alongside experienced professionals and contributing to meaningful technology initiatives.

Throughout the summer, interns may gain exposure to areas such as software engineering, data and analytics, infrastructure and cloud technologies, information security, technical support, or project management. Interns will apply classroom knowledge to real-world business challenges, strengthen their technical and problem-solving skills, and learn how technology enables innovation, efficiency, and business operations across the nation's largest rural lifestyle retailer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
  • Technical Support:Troubleshoot hardware, software, and technology issues while supporting end users and business operations. 
  • Software Development:Support software development projects through coding, testing, debugging, and application enhancements. 
  • Data & Analytics:Assist with data analysis, reporting, and identifying insights that support business decisions. 
  • Infrastructure Management:Gain exposure to network infrastructure and server administration tasks, including maintenance and monitoring.  
  • Information Security: Support cybersecurity initiatives and gain exposure to processes designed to identify, assess, and mitigate technology risks. 
  • Project & Process Support: Collaborate with IT and cross-functional partners on technology projects, process improvements, documentation, and strategic initiatives. 
  • Learning & Development: Actively participate in opportunities to expand technical knowledge, business acumen, and professional skills. 
Required Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, or related fields. 
  • Foundational understanding of technology concepts, systems, software, or programming relevant to the area of interest. 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Eagerness to learn, adapt, and work with new technologies and tools. 
  • Ability to relocate to the Greater Nashville Area for the duration of the internship.
