Trusscoreis a North American manufacturer of PVC wall and ceiling panel systems used in agricultural, commercial, and residential applications. Weoperatemanufacturing facilities in Palmerston, Ontario and Calgary, Alberta, with our head office at Communitech in Kitchener-Waterloo. Our products are sold across Canada and the United States through a network of dealers and distributors.


We run a fast-moving IT environment supporting manufacturing operations, a growing sales organization, and a digital platform team, and we are in an active phase of maturing our internal IT capabilities.


The Opportunity

This is a newly created role serving as the primary IT resource for our Ontario operations. You will own day-to-day end-user support, device management, and network infrastructure across our KW office, Palmerston manufacturing plant, and Experience Showroom - working alongside our Calgary-based IT Administrator, with an external partner providing escalation and after-hours coverage.


This is not a pure help desk role. You will be hands-on with network infrastructure, endpoint management, M365 administration, and security tooling. You will also inherit and improve our ticketing and asset managementpractices, andplay a key role in shaping how IT is delivered atTrusscorefor the next several years.


Location

Kitchener Communitech Headquarters; Kitchener Experience Showroom; Palmerston Plant; 1-2 days remote work from home/week.

What you will do:


Network infrastructure

  • Own day-to-day administration of firewalls, switches, VLANs, and LAN/WLAN infrastructure across Ontario sites
  • Own VPNandAgilicus(Zero-Trust)configuration and connectivity for Ontario Team Members
  • Work with other teams to design andmaintainresilient plant-floor networking at Palmerston, keeping production-critical systems online
  • Provide first-response for site connectivity and firewall-layer incidents, escalating to our external partnerswhere deeper support is needed
  • Maintain network documentation, configurations, and change records


End-user support & device management

  • Serve as the primary IT contact for Ontario-based Team Members across KW, Palmerston, and the Showroom
  • Manage device lifecycle: procurement, setup, imaging, deployment, and retirement
  • Administer Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager for device compliance and policy enforcement
  • Provide onboarding and offboarding support including account provisioning, hardware setup, and access management
  • Own and administer our IT ticketing system (to be selected and implemented); triage, track, and resolve requests with clear SLAs
  • Support plant-floor technology at Palmerston: handhelds, tablets, label printing, and shop-floor workstations


Microsoft 365 & Cloud

  • Administer our Microsoft 365 tenant: Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID, Intune, and related services
  • Support SharePoint migrations and data management projects as needed
  • Own software license and subscription management across the organization, including quarterlytrue-upsagainst headcount
  • Help rationalize andoptimizeour M365 and cloud spend over time


Security

  • Monitor and respond to alerts from our endpoint detection and response (EDR/RMM) tooling
  • Maintain patching cadence for endpoints and support security hardening across managed devices
  • Support VPN and access control policy enforcement


Collaboration & Projects

  • Work closely with our Calgary IT Administrator to standardize tooling, processes, and documentation across both regions
  • Coordinate with our external partner on escalations, after-hours coverage, and project delivery for Ontario sites
  • Contribute to IT roadmap planning, asset inventory, and policy documentation
  • Occasional project work: networking at new locations, infrastructure upgrades, plant expansions


What you will bring:


Required

  • 3-5 years+ of hands-on IT administration experience, including network infrastructure and end-user support
  • Hands-on experience administering network infrastructure: TCP/IP, VLANs, switches, firewalls, and VPN configuration
  • Experience in a manufacturing, warehouseor industrial environmentand exposure wot working with PLC's isstrongly preferred
  • Microsoft 365 administration experience (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID; Intune an asset)
  • Experience supporting physically distributed users across multiple sites
  • Self-directed and comfortable owning problems end-to-end without a large team behind you
  • Strong communicationskills - you willinterface withnon-technical Team Members regularly
  • Valid G driver's licence and ability to travel between KW, Palmerston, and Showroom sites


Nice to haves

  • Familiarity with Ubiquiti UniFi or similar enterprise wireless platforms
  • Experience with plant-floor / OT-adjacent networking and production-critical systems
  • Exposure to cloud infrastructure (Azure or similar): virtual machines, storage, networking
  • Microsoft certifications: MS-102, AZ-104, or equivalent (or working toward them)
  • Experience selecting and implementing an IT ticketing/ITSM platform
  • Familiarity with EDR/RMM endpoint management tooling
